CHAMBER III - The Art Gallery
The Lotus

Version 1 (large, longer stem lotus)

The lotus flower symbolizes enlightenment or awareness of our inner self. Here Elizabeth pursues the same artistic mode using beautiful material as a background to emphasize the beauty of the lotus. In this painting she emphasizes some of the petals with a white hue for a specific reason.
The deeper meaning of this painting:
Elizabeth states in her journal: “I am as the thousand petal lotus blossom. My heart opens and my petals reach up upward and welcome the light. My joy, my bliss, release like a fragrant lotus. I let go and surrender to the opening. I allow my inner fire to release into a thousand rays of dazzling light. I am as a child again born anew rising into a new dawn. I am awake and in full bloom. I am free.”
Version 2 (shorter stem lotus)
